The IMF is wise to do this. Friction during high level negotiations concerning money occurs frequently. The experts here in international contract negotiations might recall that Paul Singer of Elliot Management was taking former Argentina Minister of the Economy, Axel Kicilloff, to the cleaners in court ruling after court ruling over the defaulted Argentina bonds with the negotiations becoming so toxic that Kicilloff was removed from any personal interactions and Argentina eventually walked away; unnecessarily costing Argentina millions. Paul Singer remains a multi-billionaire and Axel Kicilloff remains a failed socialist. And in the end, Milei will reach a negotiated agreement.
