Insuring old vehicles, surprisingly difficult

Good afternoon, expat group.

I wanted to share that I had a very difficult time finding a company to insure a 42 year old car. In case anyone needs this information, "La Nueva" insurance agreed to insure it. The popular "La Caja" will not after 40 years of antiquity, and others had even tighter limits.

https://www.paranaseguros.com.ar/ I have my 1979 Chrysler Dodge 1500 insured with them.
They will only cover 200.000 peso even though its worth nearly 1million peso.
How ever they did send me a shop to get a theft GPS installed, so that is some consolation.
the insurance cost around $5000 peso per month.
