290 GB HD? That's a rather odd size for a drive. I'm guessing you're giving this total based on the amount of total available space displayed by Windows, which is going to be a subset of the drive's physical capacity, dictated by its geometry.

Thanks for your technical expertise Alex, but it's actually 300GB, but I deducted the unusable space due to the windows installation. Any other pointers you could give us? Cheers
