I'm finally at the point where I need to do some laundry. I've seen a few lavadoro's around but am not entirely sure how they work. I'm told you just walk in with a bag (any bag?) of clothes and they'll wash + fold them for you? My spanish is pretty weak - can anyone give me a few phrases that they may ask or let me know the typical procedure.

Thanks in advance.

one bag= una bolsa
one service= un servicio
wash & fold = lavado y doblado
how much is it? = cuanto es?
when do I pick it up?= cuando lo retiro?
when do you close (the store)?= cuando cierra (el negocio)?

I hope you know the numbers in Spanish!

Usually you get the bag to the store at the morning (before 10am) and the work is done by 2 or 4pm.

I pay $19 per bag, however I know that other stores charge $12 per bag.

Try to say lavadero instead of lavadoro.

Thank you!

When you say $19/bag, is that like a standard size grocery bag, or do they have their own bags there that they fill up?
