Mi Vida Loca is a free interactive course of Spanish made by BBC. Incredibly cool. Kind of a cross of a movie and a video game. Suitable for beginners.

Whatever dialect of English you speak, you probably can understand and communicate with most other speakers of English in most other dialects.

Similarly, there's a case to be made for learning to speak Spanish consistently in a dialect that works for you but listening to and understanding as many other forms of Spanish as possible.

Mi Vida Loca is fun and adds to the personal language repository.
