I'm currently an American located in Tokyo and looking for a change of pace, thinking about relocating to BA.
Here in Tokyo we have a mix of local hires and expats; that is to say people who have found work here in Tokyo and people who have been sent here by their overseas company. I personally went to university in Japan and have been based here since as a local hire.
What is the mix/make-up there? Is it possible, as a foreigner, to look for work in BA, or, does one really need to have a company send you there?
