Does anyone know what the rules are for traveling/renting a weekend house within the Province you live in? I live in provincia de Buenos Aires and am wondering if I am allowed to rent an Airbnb in a barrio cerrado in Pilar or surrounding area for the weekend. Would love to have some open space and a pool for the weekend now that things are warming up.

Beware, the reason for the Barrio Privado's existance is precisely not letting in people unknown.
Therefore, a weekend rental seems out of the question.

Landlord might not bother to ask, decide to ignore or simply trick you.
Plenty of that going on right now and prices skyrocketing now that it's almost a done deal that most of us are stuck for the months to come.

Famous actor recently disclosed that the place he has been renting for a month for the past years (plural) as his close to work retreat, was quoted $4500 for a single month. Pilar, house w/ pool.
He felt so disgusted he decided to go public.

Barrio Privado has same issues as a building in Palermo. Prying neighbors and porteros.. Best would be together in a stand alone house - but you may face 3rd degree torture till death..as per feedback here.
