Looking For A Room

I was wondering what methods expats have used to find rooms in apartments or houses. I am looking for housing until December (and perhaps longer if I find a job). I am already in Buenos Aires and have housing covered for the first month. I have looked on Craigslist and airbnb. Do a lot of young expats find housing this way? HELP!

Not sure how well it works in Argentina, but I used Gabino Homes when I was in Chile and found a good room for a year using that.
