Looking For Good Tour (First Timer)

Hello everyone-

(I posted this in the Newcomers forum but got no replies so am reposting here.)

I am new to the group, just signed up!

I will be visiting Buenos Aires and Argentina for the first time in October, staying for a few weeks! And very excited.

Can anyone recommend a good company for taking tours, but one that really will get me to know the city, not just the usual tourist bus thing. Also, I love photography. Does anyone know about any photo tours where you walk around and take pictures with a local or someone with experience?

I saw Buenos Aires Vintage tour's cars roaming downtown and it looked a quite interesting and unique experience!
i never tried any tour, though.

A buddy of mine works for a tour company and he does private and group tours. Not sure of the prices, etc., but he's incredibly well informed on Argentine/Buenos Aires history, very cheeky and provides an array of useful tips along the way (how to ID fake bills, etc.).
