Mailing jewelry from US to AR?

Since it is a new item and doesn't have a sentimental value (yet?), why do you want to go through all this trouble of mailing it from the USA.
Just buy it locally from the MercadoLibre, and get it delivered to her.

I'm trying to do this but Mercado Libre is requiring that I use an argentine phone number to create an account. Any way around this?

I understand that in that case, that the account will be totally tied to her cell phone number, including her face recognition, since I had to go through that at a certain point.
