James Neilson has a truly impressive ability to be utterly clueless about Argentina despite having lived here for decades. The last thing we need is more of that vile Austrian School nonsense. And pointing out that "Margaret Thatcher was very fond of Hayek’s viewpoints" isn't exactly going to sell it here. How can he be unaware that Thatcher is despised in Argentina?

But he is, however astonishingly, correct in saying that anything could happen next. Argentina's current situation is very precarious.

It is a crying shame that Alberto doesn't have the testicular fortitude to do what is needed. He is a good man at heart, but too much the professor. He should resign and go back to his classroom at UBA. As strenuously as many here will disagree, I do believe that Cristina is the only leader on the scene who has both the following and the sheer audacity to cross the Rubicon and go for it. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Botox Cristina is the prime example of the corrupt Argentinian politician that most people do not want vote for anymore.

Desperate times do call for desperate measures. This is how extremism starts anywhere in the world. Here this is especially true for a generation of voters who have stayed poor despite endless promises of better tomorrow under NK, CFK, CFK, MM and now AF+CFK.... these people just want to see something and someone totally new to have a hope of actually getting ahead in life instead of getting a free fridge or handout that lasts a few months every time an election comes around.

IMO FdT have converted into a party of privileged public servants, pagina-12 reading champagne socialists and corrupt and monopolistic argentine corporations and their beneficiaries who are totally out of touch with the reality of Argentina.

This is the guy who claimed Argentina's quarantine was imposed at gunpoint. Nuts. To see a quarantine imposed at gunpoint you have to cross the Andes, where the nightly curfew will only be removed from October. The Steve Bannon "fill the zone with shit" technique gets really tiresome.
