I didnt know the Daily Mail had a correspondent in Hell, where, no doubt, both of these quite dead people reside. But isnt this kind of irrelevant to pretty much everything but the export of OXO stock cubes to blighty.

As of 2018, they are still blocking some, but have stopped trying to block "like for like", ie replacement weapons and parts.
They did recently try to block the South Koreans from selling a fighter jet to Argentina, but they only had any leverage because there were five UK suppliers to the plane.
If the actual weapons are not made in the UK, I doubt they can do much.
