Medical Certificate For Joining Gym?

I've been to various gyms here over the course of 2 years and they all ask you to get the medical certificate; however it's never been enforced, as I've never produced one and it hasn't been a problem (but this wasn't in the major gyms like sportclub/megatron).

The pool thing is true...they check between your toes for fungal infections

Depending on the gym, some branches can help with the medical exam as well

I just joined ¨Sport Club¨ (http://www.sportclub.com.ar/) as a benefit from my work. They asked for the apto medico, but the good thing is that if you go to one of their locations that has a swimming pool (such as the one in Belgrano R), there are people inside the gym that will do it for you. For me (at Belgrano R), it cost me 100 pesos.

It was basically a measurement of blood pressure, breathing checks and medical questionnaire. Pretty trivial stuff
