Milei’s plan to free $270bn cash stuffed under Argentine mattresses

I find it wonderful that our beloved President Milei has had the courage to finally grant thieves the equal rights they so richly deserve, by allowing the laundering of billions of undeclared dollars, previously hidden in mattresses that hindered economic growth and prosperity.
Until now, thieves (decent human beings!) had to legitimize their wealth by going through the grueling and unfair process of, for example, claiming their empty hotel rooms were operating at full capacity and paying additional taxes.

"It's a big club...and you ain't in it."

I'm sure people with all those mattress dollars are just dying to declare it and invest it...because that's impossible to do under the table, you know? Did I mention capital exportation was liberated?

Boy if I was an business magnate it would be a glorious time to blanqueo prior year earnings tax free, then export it abroad, then import it again under RIGI for some CAPEX tax free again. Rinse and repeat.

Now pay your prepaga aumento you filthy ape!

This is a good example of why Adorni won in the upper class and upper-middle class neighborhoods on Sunday, and Santoro won the whole south of the city, where the working class lives.

To be fair, though, even in the barrios where he won, Santoro's margins of victory were slim, The LLA actually put on a very strong showing in this election.
