Movistar Gsm / Cdma?

Does anyone know what Movistar uses? I'm planning to bring an unlocked phone back with me from the US.

I brought a factory unlocked iPhone 3gs last year and it was GSM and it works perfect with the Movistar simcard.

Thank you. I thought they are probably GSM but I wasn't certain.

i have a blackberry from at&t and work fine with movistar gsm chip
