Also, just a general update for anyone who's been watching the thread: After migraciones approves your DNI, you'll get a tracking link to a website before receiving your DNI in the mail.

It has 5 steps:

- Incio
- Verificacion
- Produccion
- Embalaje
- Correo

Mine is still on 'Verificacion' and has been for weeks (visa was approved on Dec. 12th, so I'm sure the holidays slowed things down). When my visa was approved, migraciones told me to come back in 3 mos if I hadn't received my DNI and they'd issue it there. So that might still be a possibility. But I'll update when I have my physical card in case anyone is trying to keep track of timelines.

Took me three months to get my first DNI. Applied at migraciones on the 22nd Sept 2025 (23 Sept 2025 issued according to the card) and collected from the local correo argentino sucrusal on 30 Dec 2025 (May have been ready on the 22nd).

It was stuck on a problem with verificacion stage "datos biometricos" for about 2 and a half months and I harassed them via whatsapp to see what's going on, but they said to just wait it's not an issue.

I don't remember the exact number but think it was in the ballpark of $1500ish USD for end-to-end when I started working with her towards the end of 2024. Not sure if her rates have changed since then, but it was significantly less than other lawyers I spoke with (tho that wasn't a deciding factor for me at all). Again, strongly recommend her.

Also, she recently gave me [email protected] as her best email so if you do decide to reach out, I'd probably use that one

I'm using her now, 2026 fee for me was $2300. I'll keep you guys posted.
