My wife & I will be arriving in BA on November 30th and we're looking for a decent apartment to settle into for the month of December and possibly January.
We're in our 30's and well past the insane parties of college. We're looking for a nice, quite studio or 1 bedroom apartment with reliable internet that's in a safe area of town. It doesn't have to be in the city center or anything, we'll happily take a taxi downtown if we need to. Our budget is about $500/mo which will probably force us to choose an apartment in the suburbs anyway.
I've been researching apartments in BA all morning and it seems there are TONS to choose from and I have no idea which locations would be suitable. Also, after reading handful of rip-off and scam stories this morning, I'd prefer to rent from an expat-owner or a reputable agency (though the agencies seem to be a bit pricey).
So, any recommendations or guidance from the experienced residents here would be greatly appreciated.
