Yeah, as he was talking there were just random members of the public walking behind him, not 30 yards away. There didn't appear to be a perimeter, imagine being able to stroll through a public park while Obama is giving a speech.

I honestly don't think its going to last like this. This is PR, pure and simple. As soon as Macri is president I'd be surprised if we see him "strolling through a public park" without any security. There are crazy people everywhere. Presidents should be protected from crazy people; whether that's Cristina right now or Macri later.

There is a reason for security. There were serious troubles in history, when some lunatic (or less lunatic) killed someone of importance. Civil wars and even world war happened, so better to avoid it. Also tie would be a fresh addition in Argentina, don't know why this fashion of mafiosos gremiales stuck here so much...
