Today I went to a recommended dentist with a cracked premolar. I had to pay 50,000 pesos for the root canal! They quoted me another 50,000 peses for the post implantation and 545 dollars for the enamel crown. Does that seem steep?

That sounds like a foreigner price...I'd get some other quotes.

Definitely seems steep to me. I recently asked my dentist what a root canal costs (he doesn't do them himself, but he works with another dentist who does) and he said the other dentist was recently charging 20k pesos for the root canal.

I'll leave the contact for my dentist here. He's great and speaks perfect English if that's a concern. He said he doesn't do root canals himself, but he does do the post root canal work (post implantation, etc).
