Hello all,

My wife and I just landed here, bit overwhelmed by it all but climatizing slowly.

Really good to find the expat group, it`s clear, well organised, feel much more at home now I know I have you all to turn to.

Does anybody have any recommendations or points of information for the theatre life here? Any shows they recommend or theatre groups in particular?

Many thanks

Raoul

Welcome
I guess my first question is if you speak Spanish?
It is important also to know that we are still in mid-summer here so many productions are in other locations such as Villa Carlos Paz or Mar del Plata and some on break.
Drama, comedy, action, ?

You can choose spanish or english on the top right corner.

Thankyou for your replys,

I do speak Spanish and so does my wife so in this sense we are ok. It`s more the culture shock.

In reply to your question I am an avid lover of classical theatre. I worked for many years with Shakespeare and I have just seen there is a shakespeare festival here as well, is it recomendable?

I am also preparing some shakespeare workshops in spanish and english, do you think it could work here?

Many thanks

Raoul

We had the Shakespeare socirty here in BA on our radio program several years ago.
Go to The Typical Mistake and look under show archives!

This gentleman has been doing theater workshops in English for many years here.

There is a live broadcast of MacBeth with Benedict Cumberbatch with the National Theater (London) on 3 March at the Foundation Beethoven, Sante Fe 1452.

They will also be broadcasting live other National productions.
