Nicolas Maduro President of Venezuela Arreste and removed from the country.

The local Venezuelan community is holding a victory celebration today at 5PM in front of the Obelisko monument.

All geopolitical considerations aside (and I don't take those lightly, and no, this is not a veiled support of Trump and everything he does-- I have never liked him and probably never will--), I am happy because my Venezuelan friends, both inside and outside the country, are happy with the ouster of Maduro, and because, like them, I hope this will be the beginning of the end to a regime that jailed, tortured and killed thousands upon thousands of its own citizens and destroyed the economy through corruption and mismanagement, forcing millones into poverty and to immigrate.

I think it's so easy to pontificate about soberanía with an iphone in one hand and Starbucks in the other when you've never experienced what these folks have.

On his flight back to Washington Trump declared that besides Colombia Cuba should also worry, Although Cuba will implode soon without any further US action.

In 2013 then president of Argentina Cristina Kirchner gave Nicolas Maduro an award. Now both are under arrest and facing long prison sentences. As the saying goes "Birds of a feather ...."

I see people online talking about the future of the petrodollar and the new BRICS currency (the "Unit" which name makes me 😬), and the USA wanting to bust up a growing alliance between Vla and China for defense reasons. That all strikes me as complicated but likely.

Call me a kuku but this coup strikes me as super suss; they leave everyone else from Maduro's party in power? They arrested his wife too? One assumes an inside job, and we'll see what they negotiated.

(Hard to imagine it's about election integrity, love for the common man, narcotraficantes or corruption... )

I am subscribed to this channel and I watch (listen to) most of BCP's uploads.

I have often thought to myself that the Democrats will say anything they can think of in opposition to President Trump, even if it means contradicting their previous positions. I either don't remember or never heard their criticism of DJT for not dealing with Maduro during his first term as President;
