Non-Contract Local Iphone 4 Plan

Hello,

I'll be in BA for four months for a study abroad program and will be bringing my unlocked iPhone 4. Can anyone recommend a good monthly plan with inexpensive call/text and a minimum amount of data? I don't want to get locked into a contract since I will only be in BA for a short time. Thanks for your advice!

Cell phone service in Argentina is one of the most expensive and if you plan on buying a pay as you go cards type of deal, you might spend more than a typical 1 year contract. Then again if you're here for four months you could possibly get a one year contract where you pay every month and just leave it when you go.

You won't get a contract as a tourist, but all providers offer prepaid SIMs.

why not go with a US international plan... like T-mobile has a great international plan that will probably cost you less per month than going month to month on pre-paid SIMs.. depending on how much you use it..

might be worth a look before you go..
