There is a drug under testing at CONICET right now.

The whole world is developing/testing drugs and vaccines for the coronavirus now. Literally. Every laboratory that has relevant expertise is reprofiled and has dedicated people working on Covid-19 cure day and night.

Scientists in Argentina decipher complete genome of SARS-Cov-2

Work by ANLIS-Malbrán Institute specialists will allow experts to follow evolution of virus in Argentina, ensure quality of diagnosis and contribute to development of vaccine.

There are multiple groups working on a vaccine - Gates Foundation, BionTech, Moderna to name a few. Hopefully, one will be successful. That's the new gold rush. But they will likely take 12 months to properly validate, get government approval, mass produce, and then mass inoculation. Pretty sure death count worldwide will be at least 500,000 OFFICIALLY. Unofficially will be a 5-10 millions cause many poor countries can't afford mass testing and reporting.

Concern in Wuhan: pandemic epicenter registers new infections for the second day

....China reported five new cases of coronavirus today one day after reporting the first infection. Which means that there are already six new positives....
Nationally, China claimed to have a total of 17 new cases of Covid-19, 10 of which are infections of local origin. It is the second day of a two-digit increase in the number of infections in a day. Since May 1, they had been kept at less than three a day.
Of these local cases, five were registered in the northeast of the country, near Russia and North Korea, raising fears of new outbreaks of contagion. For its part, the city of Shulan, with some 670,000 inhabitants, was quarantined after the detection of at least 11 cases over the weekend. So far no deaths have been reported....

The outbreak in South Korea rekindles fears of a second wave of coronavirus in the world.
The South Korean government, praised worldwide for its response to the crisis, had been confident enough to reopen much of its economy after weeks of only a handful of new cases being detected a day. But today at least 35 were reported after the outbreak in the clubs , which have temporarily closed again.
China also had a second day with 10 or more new cases, five of them in Wuhan City , the original epicenter of the pandemic and where a strict quarantine was lifted last month . The government reminded people to take personal protection against the virus....
In the United States , members of the Donald Trump government were optimistic about a relatively rapid rebound of the virus. But life in the White House reflected the difficult challenges that the pandemic continued to pose, after Vice President Mike Pence went into "voluntary isolation" when one of his aides tested positive.
In South Korea, authorities were reviewing cell phone and credit card records, as well as images from security cameras , to track thousands of people who visited a popular Seoul entertainment district in recent weeks. It is likely that 85 cases of the virus are related to that focus , according to the Seoul mayor, and health workers are trying to contact more than 3,000 of the 5,500 people who recently visited the nightclubs....
