Open a local Bank Account in USD

Doesn’t BNA charge USD 10/month to maintain the USD account?
They have not charged me any monthly fee. More recently they started adding daily interest in USD, using TNA 2.1%

I think every Argentina bank has gone through a number of changes to lower or eliminate fees and paperwork.

but also the exchange rate they give you...banks and transfer companies can use any rate they want and any fee they want.
Since this thread is about transferring USD into argentina, there is no need to worry about exchange rate fees. After your dollars are sitting in your Argentina USD account you use their home banking or app to sell your dollars at the days MEP rate. Just sell what you need in pesos, leaving the rest as dollars.

Though my experience is that an argentina brokerage account will give you the best MEP rate when converting from USD to pesos

Hi, yes, you can wire transfer but why in the world would you...use a transfer company like Western Union, MoneyGram or Remitly if you are doing the monthly immigration deposit. I've been doing it into Galicia for 2.5 years by transfer company....way cheaper than a wire and faster too. Remember to check not only the transfer fees of each service but also the exchange rate they give you...banks and transfer companies can use any rate they want and any fee they want.
About money transfer, you are right. I was thinking more on the line of having another way of fulfill that requirement, even though I am aware that other alternatives to Western Union do exist, like Remitly.

Yes - I requested one online with Galicia but for some reason the process wasn't working, and eventually I went to a branch location where they did it for me in a matter of hours.
That’s good to know about Galicia, the online systems in Argentina can be so glitchy. Which branch did you end up going to that got it done so fast?

Same for me, as it happens, I get regular emails from Galicia, but I’ve never been able to open a USD account online.

The one at Pueyrredón and Peña if I recall correctly

Is there any bank like Galicia that you can wire transfer USD to a local bank in Argentina?

After failing to open an account at Galicia today. Then Banco ciuidad didnt want to help me after I told them I'm not fluent in Spanish. Narajana X ooened a bank for me with pesos & USD, there is no option of wire the USD from America

I don't think you'd see the option to wire from the US within your Naranja X account, you'd see it in your US account -- unless Naranja X specifically says "we don't accept international wires".

In the USD account in naranja x is offers an option to recieve money but its only an alias

If you setup an account with Balanz (they are a broker), you can wire them the money, and then convert to pesos using the CCL (appears to be a few percent higher than the MEP rate tight now. They do charge a 1% commission.

If you setup an account with Santander you can receive USD wires. Receiving appears to be $0. Once credited, you can convert with them to pesos, or they are considered MEP. You can transfer to Balanz or other service to convert at a better rate than the bank. You could also withdraw at the branch and exchange as cash if you wanted to. CCL seems to be the best rate at the moment.

Thanks CCL is great
Maybe I will try Santander. I need to transfer USD to pay someones bank account hear to rent a vacation house by the beach

But for normal day shopping/expenses, I transfer myself money to my Dollarapp account & i use it to swipe or transfer by alias. So i dont need to rely on anyone. Dolarapp uses the dolar cripto which js higher than the blue. Today it us very similar to CCL
