PayPal and the Argie Banks

Hey folks,

Would any of you fine people like to share stories of successes or tragedies working with PayPal in Argentina? I have a savings account here, but would switch it to a checking if I could get it linked to my PayPal acct.... or is this just wishful gringo thinking?

You can´t get any Argentina bank account linked to it. Read their TOS

I have known several tourist businesses operated by foreigners who have Paypal accounts to receive money, set up with their banks back in their home countries.

You could pay them or any other paypal receiver if you have your own account set up through the bank in your home country.

Guess that is the way to do it, but getting the money here economically is another thing.

Hi Ed...in short...paypal and argentina don't mix. You can of course use pay pal to pay bills and receive money, BUT the account has to be outside of Argentina.
