Permanent Residency: One down, One to go...

Hello again @darksider415:

Thanks again for all the info provided thus far!

My husband and I have submitted our PR applications this past week and everything seems to be on track.

I was wondering if you had any idea at what point we're supposed to be paying the DNI fee? When we submitted the application, it was only possible to choose Efectivo or cash, but it didn't specify when and where the 6,000 pesos has to be paid. Do you have any recollection of that in your case?

The DNI should've been paid for with the rest of the stuff when you paid the boletos before your appointment.

Sharing here the timeline of my Brazilian husband as his application was very quickly resolved.

We had to submit an extra document during the process which we got and submitted right away: a legalization of the Brazilian criminal record check from the Brazilian consulate.

At this time, I'm only waiting for my case to be processed as well.

That’s strange because we never had to submit a legalization of my wife’s Brazilian documents, and the website at the time said it wasn’t required.

Typical Argentina, the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. Still, much faster than it used to be. Congratulations!

Ow, that was quick! I'm also applying by Ley 26.240 (both husband and I are brazilians), our cita was 20/03, and I'm still waiting for it to resolve... Guess I'll write them when we reach the 45-days mark (we are in Mendoza, maybe that's why it's slower)
