5G is available again to iPhone users in Argentina with the iOS 17.4 update.
Since the DSS 4G / 5G spectrum sharing service was switched off in February, iPhone users had been without 5G service.
The “new” 5G service in the C-band, licensed late last year, is much faster than before, though it’s currently available at fewer locations. Personal will expand their footprint this year.
With Ookla SpeedTest I saw 500Mbps download this morning with 2 bars of signal (and 20ms latency, pay attention gamers).
