Pick up contact lenses in BA?

Hi

Will be in BA soon for a couple of weeks as a tourist (no DNI).

I'd like to pick up some contact lenses before I head off to other Latin American countries. I already know my prescription and the brand I'm after, though I imagine that won't exist here.

What's the fastest way I can get what I need in BA?

Most optometrists will sell them to you without the local prescription.
The issue as you guessed is whether they have them in stock, let alone the exact prescription, within expiry date. The latest versions of the good brands are not good value.
Personally I don’t stock up on mine in South America but if I must I ll do it in Brasil. Wide choice, decent price in São Paulo or Rio.

Was very impressed by Optica Numag at Plaza Armenia. Got six pairs of Biofinity Toric for 29000 pesos which is actually cheaper than in the UK. Turned around in two days and just used my old prescription from the UK. Not very hard at all.
