Power socket same as Australia?

Can any Aussies confirm if the Argentinian power socket is the same as Australian? The socket looks the same, however one website mentioned that the pins may be different and I don't want to end up frying my laptop. Many thanks.
 
you won't fry your laptop as the voltages are the same 220-240V.

Though you may need to buy an adaptor if your pins are too thick.
 
AU / NZ devices work same here as at home, with most outlets being the same, but some older buildings have the euro outlets..
And as the previous poster said neutral and active are switched, but isnt a problem for any of my electronics - laptop/camera/mp3 player.
 
I can confirm that there isn't a problem with using Australian appliances in Argentina power outlets.
I've used everything from Laptops/mobile phone chargers through to toasters/kettles/hair dryers without a hassle.
 
Totally agree with AussiesInBa. All the stuff I brought from OZ has worked w/o any probs.
