You can get probiotics at Farmacity. You have to go the pharmacy area and ask for acidopholus. They keep it refrigerated in the back. If the person does not understand, explain that it's the good bacteria that you find in yogurt. They may need to confer with a co-worker, but they'll usually figure it out.
It's a liquid that comes in glass vials that you have to break.
Separately, I happen to have Jarrow probiotics that do not have to be refrigerated, http://www.jarrow.com/product-228 (however, I have kept them refrigerated). I can part with 60 capsules that are completely sealed. PM me if you're interested.
