Question re: entry to Buenos Aires with 1 way ticket from US

Can anyone confirm if they've had any trouble entering Argentina from the US without a return ticket to the US recently?

My husband, who is an Argentine national and I planning on visiting and possibly moving back in April.
I don't have residency there, but we were married there in 2018. My partner says we'll be fine as we've never had issues in the past just having a one way ticket.

It seems there are new rules stating you must?
Anyone here know for certain?

my go to is "I am visiting Iguazu and crossing the border into Brazil in a taxi. I dont know which day it will be and I cant book it ahead of time."

You will have to repeat this a thousand times.

The other option is get one of those $20 "loaned" return tickets online.

There is also high price refundable tickets -- show it at gate and then cancel it -- but you have to float the money or credit card purchase so gotta have room for it on one of those.

They won't ask in the US so I have no worries on that end - it was Migraciones i was inquiring about at EZE - i've entered about 10 times without a return ticket to the US and have never had issues. I was just concerned because of the wording on AA's website regarding new rules on Argentina's side.

Also checking with the Embassy.

I have had multiple tussles with them over this

I tell them I am crossing into Brazil via Iguazu by taxi and dont know the exact date yet. Repeat until they give up.

Never been checked but can't remember the last time.

You can always book a refundable one-way and then just cancel it whenever you want and get your money back. Not even have to waste $16 on a fake return ticket.

I did it last week, coming from the U.S. on Delta and had no problem. I double checked with Delta ahead of time to ensure they wouldn’t have an issue because I heard that it’s usually the airline (if anyone) that will give you a hard time with a one-way ticket.
