And by the first quarter of the XX century they were pretty much non existent......apparently Spaniards and early argentines sure knew how to eradicate certain races from the territory, i often wonder if this had something to do with the sympathy of members of certain European country seeking refuge here in the late 1940s

So, this is why there are almost no african argentines. Those who survived were integrated for 200 years, and the african gens in argentines is the evidence of that.

Right, but those are not Argentines. You can tell immediately by the accent. Actual Afro-Argentines with actual Argentine heritage (or at least accents) - down in Buenos Aires, I'm not sure I've ever met one.

All true but what you see in the streets are: Mulatos, Tercerones, Quarterones, etc all Afro descendants have blended with the European, and natives..! according to the Ministry of Culture report.

I'd venture that in modern/contemporary Argentina, the issue is not race related but social class determined.
NdM applies to anyone below you in the collective imaginary.
Those (poor enough but) with jobs use it to describe the unemployed, even when living in the exact same location, as well as those with the highest income apply it to any midlevel subordinate.
