The last time i checked a few years ago, this was impossible, the only 2 ways i understood were to either: 1, seller has a foriegn bank account that can recieve transfer or 2: buyer has to bring cash into Argentina, through a business that will do it for a few percent fee.
has this changed? i am planning on making a sizeable real estate purchase soon.
i had a phone call with a real estate attorney who focuses on foriegner investors. he said the only right way to do it is to have the seller open a US dollar account in argentina and transfer directly to it.
this was not possible a few years ago due to the gap in peso official/black market rates.
is the lawyer right and is this now possible?
