Rebuilt auto part?

Hey everyone,

My niece has a 2016 Toyota Etios and the alternator is bad. The dealer wants almost $800 just for a new alternator (installation is extra). I’m wondering if she might be able to find a rebuilt or aftermarket alternator for less money. She lives in CABA. Any suggestions?

Did you check ML? There's one there, for Etios 1,5 "tipo Valeo" 90A 12V, for 339.000 Pesos which is not cheap, but better than USD 800 for sure. Search for "alternador" and filter for Etios. The seller is "Los Colos",

If you look on MercadoLibre, make sure you enter the chassis number just so it only shows you parts that are compatible 100%.

No problem, I was searching for brake parts so it was easy to change my filter. You could just go to Avenida Warnes, but my impression is that a lot of suppliers use ML as a shopfront anyway.
