Can anyone please give me information about registering a foreign vehicle in Argentina? I expect to be taking it in as a tourist; after that, not sure.

If you register the car in Argentina, ie. 'nationalize' it, you will be responsible for the import taxes on the car, which can be up to 80% of the value of the car. It is not up to you how much the car is valued at.
