I'm interested in buying my partner a nice watch for Christmas (good thing she doesn't read this forum! ) Can anyone recommend a reputable wristwatch vendor, hopefully that offers some sort of warranty? I bought a very pretty watch from a little shop in Palermo last year, which fell apart after a few months of wear, so I'm wary of just waltzing into the first random store I pass. Thanks.

Santa Fe and Azcuenaga ( on Sta Fe almost next to a veggie store ) There is a store that sells watches, cigars, etc it has been there for over 40 years and is very reputable. There is another one on Santa Fe and Ayacucho ( on Sta Fe )

The wholesale providers of watches and jewlery are on Libertad street, between Av Corrientes and Bartolome Mitre. I may recommend you "Relojeria Serebrenick", located on Libertad Avenue, between Sarmiento street and Avenida Corrientes, very close to the Avenue.

Libertad street runs like Av. 9 de Julio, one block towards West from this avenue.
