Renewing temporary residency - previously as student, now as worker?

Hi, I am getting ready to request a third year of temporary residency, and this time I am thinking of requesting it as a worker (trabajador migrante) and not as a student, which I have had for these two years, even though I still have the option of requesting it as a student. An immigration attorney has told me this is possible. However, I am not sure whether getting the renewal as a worker would tie me to the job I am working, meaning that I can't change jobs if I had the opportunity and wanted to. Does anyone know whether that is the case? Many thanks.

Avoid starting another trail of tramites. Stay as consistent as you can and just request it as a student. This should be your last time requesting temporary residency anyway meaning next year you can get permanent residency.
