Santiago Chile question

Heading to Santiago the end of the month and want to know if anyone has done any rafting or trekking in the Santiago area? I'm really looking for a half day or a day trip, nothing hard but just a nice outing. Any advice on what was done or who you used is great.

I was there a few years ago and did a day hike in El Morado national park, starting from Banos Morales. I don't remember much of the logistical details (we did it ourselves, not with a tour) but it was a nice day, without really difficult climbing, mostly just good scenery.

El Yeso valley beyond the reservoir is outstanding. You could base yourself in Banos Morales for that as well.... that whole area easily worth a 2 night stay !!!
