She was a hopeless leader and she has contributed to the dissolution of the EU project. The "refugees" should never have been admitted. Europe has enough problems of its own. It can't cope with millions of unemployed and frankly unemployable "refugees" and the sharp rise in neo-fascist parties can largely be attributed to Merkel's stupid decisions.
Why do we always impose our morals (or pretense of it) for the good of unwanted people of every sh*twhole country? And once driven out as refugees, we show our true colors.
Wouldn´t it have been better if it was all left to Assad to handle them in Syria? Bet there would have been no Syrian refugees for us to worry about today.

Very hard decision, help them or not. US took thousands of war refugees from Vietnam and south east countries. Most of them are integrated into US society and have been doing very well. The result is pretty positive. You see some Vietnamese gangs in Houston and South San Jose because US pretty much too everyone in South Vietnam, but overall, they contribute to the US society, they are not a problem at all, hard working and realize their American dreams, if there is such a thing.
Not going to Vietnam in the first place would have eliminated the need for a decision (good or bad / hard or soft).
Very easy decision: If we don´t break it. there is nothing to fix.
Same goes for every sh*thole (the list is long) and every unwanted people around the world.
