A friend of mine sent me a gift from Canada through FedEx, but the package is now stuck at EZE airport. I contacted FedEx and submitted my CUIL number yesterday, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. I called them again this morning, and they told me I’ll probably need to hire a customs broker to get it cleared.
I reached out to one broker this afternoon, but they quoted me $1000 dollar which doesn’t make much sense since the package is just a small gift worth about $150 dollar. They actually advised me to look elsewhere, said it's not worth it.
So I’m wondering does anyone know a broker in Buenos Aires who handles small personal shipments and doesn’t charge a crazy fee? I'm okay with $100-200ish fees, or anything reasonable. I’d really appreciate any recommendations!
