So I am in the market in the veg and fruit line waiting in the get my veggies converting into kilos to pay. A dude from Montevideo moves in front of me... Having been in BA for so long.. I starting thinking! Oh great another jerk from South America with no manners...

When the girl reaches for his bag of potatoes he looks at her and says... No no this gentleman was here before me.. in spanish..

Funny how the manners in Argentines stick with you..I was judging this guy based on rude Argentine experiances and what did I get. LOL

These people have so much manners it is freaking me out..after 5 years with people with no manners in Argentina.

I have had mixed experiences with manners in Argentina. I haven't seen so many lines anywhere as in Argentina, and they are usually respected.

People in Argentina do have manners, just no in the city, just like any big city anywhere.

Lack of respect in daily life is not inherent to big cities but with social do's & dont's, education and accepted behavior. Medellin in Colombia is a huge city but the respect in daily life is huge, the same in Amsterdam. In Buenos Aires people don't care about communal spaces nor respect for those who they don't know. Porteños just disrespect others and are rude by nature; nobody cares and they don't teach social responsibility at schools. for people with very good manners you should move to Colombia, the place to be if you like respect in daily life, specially in the area of Antioquia. It's a shame porteños are so rude.

I personally find Argentines to be the most well mannered people I've ever met.
