i use supervielle bank with credit card cash advances. a max of USD3000.- can be taken out, you only need to bring along your passport and CC , takes about a 30/40 min, they dont charge anything, its only your banks charge back home.

Do you have a visa rentista? If so, has migraciones accepted your "credit card cash advances" as "proof" of foreign income? (That's the issue here.)

Monique, bank charges depend entirely on what bank you use. Best option is to send from same chain of bank abroad, that will reduce charges. They will get you on the exchange rate too as you have to send in your local currency eg dollar and then buy pesos once the money is released from central bank.
Re. monotributista, as far as I know there can be problems with this particular "concepto". Several years ago I had to pay a contractor here and used to send money from abroad, but central bank rules changed and they could no longer get the money released. I would definitely check with the "comex, comercial exterior" section of your bank first.

You can only deposit up to 3000 US dollars a month into an argentine bank account.
