Any thoughts on what kind of a COLA we may get on Social Security this year?

It's mere crumbs. It's 2.5% for 2025, because, simply put, the Biden regime deceitfuly masked the real inflation numbers in order to try and abet their electoral chances via lying about inflation. They did so by using the CPI-W, which doesn't include food and fuel costs, to determine inflation. Were they honest, they'd use the PCE.

People in BA blaming Milei for everything should focus their anger on Biden / Harris who screwed over tens of millons of lower income seniors and the disabled who subsist on Social Security.

If the government used the same methodology to determine inflation today as they did in 1980, inflation would be pegged somewhere around 13%-15%. Fortunately, American consumers who live and understand this reality yesterday fired Harris and hired Trump.

A. Antares, I don't like to see fake news start appearing here on this forum. CPI-W is used by law, since 1975. It's not something the Biden administration invented to reduce the COLA, as you state in your post. By the way, COLA has been much lower during Trump's presidency than in the years after. And just as Biden, Trump has nothing to do with the determination of COLA.

Your info is not accurate. I'm not here to argue with you but a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Well, please enlighten me. What exactly is not accurate?
This is not the platform to argue about Social Security but Antares is basically correct in that over the years changes/substitutions to how inflation is calculated have resulted in artificially lower reporting of it.

In any event, do your own research on it.

Do enjoy your day.

Oh, a side note; I recently made out rather well selling crying towels to Harris supporters.

Your last sentence says it all. Bye.
