Hola, I am not sure if this is the correct location for my query but here goes.. I am a yoga teacher who has recently moved to BA. I want to find a good space to rent to set up a studio where I would regularly teach classes in Spanish/English. Ideally in Palermo Soho or Hollywood. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find somewhere and more importantly how much I should expect to pay for a space. Ideally I want to teach classes to 15-20 people at a time. I would love to know what prices would be realistic before I start viewing and get ripped off.
Please help if you can! Gracias!

Do you know what a garantina is?

It may be very difficult to rent a place without one.

I remember HotYogaTeacher arrived in 2006 with great expectations of opening a studio.

I suggest you read her posts (you can find them using the search feature).

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your reply. Yes I know what a garantia is. I have access to one if I need it. Say for example, I find a place, does anyone know what sort of rent I should pay?

OMG, the woman comes ASKING FOR PRICES and instead of saying something helpful someone comes and tells her that someone failed already and asks about garantias.
When she says she does have one, another person comes and says she may need two!

Why say anything like that? She'll realize on her own if it doesn't work.

SHow Gah: I don't know about renting your own place, but I do know that you can rent places by the hour and arrange how often you wanna use it with the owner. I saw one not long ago on www.mercadolibre.com.ar
Ask in yoga studios.

Buenos Aires is awash with dance studios. You can hire rooms by the hour. Normal use is, of course, tango, but I doubt they will be too worried about Yoga.

I am not in BaAs at the moment, but I will make some enquiries.

Or, you could try taking a private tango class with some one and asking them about studios around Palermo. Just a thought. Another route is to try a milonga, there are a thousand different free magazines all advertising classes, milongas and Estudios para ensayo.

@bebero & @tangobob - Thank you both so much. I have done some research in the last 24 hours and it seems that renting a room by the hour is the most realistic but I think this option will work out more expensive. Maybe if you make some enquiries you could say that I want somewhere full-time as this will be my main activity 6 days per week. Gracias!
