Sr. Programmer - Local Salary Range

So I have a very general question. Client is inquiring about salary ranges for programmers here - senior level. Don't know what languages, etc so am trying to give as general range as possible.

I would estimate 6500 (low end) to 8000 a month. Anyone confirm if that is about right?

I worked for a company with Sr. Programmers and they were paid from $5000 to $6000 minus deductions.

That's sounds about right. Unless it's some really uncommon, high paid, programming language.

Further question - is it safe to assume those rates are accuarate for Uruguay? I'm guessing it may be a little lower for Montevideo but around the same.
