Sumo was great, and very influential. There is still graffiti all over South America that says Punk is not Dead- and its Luca they are talking about. Maria Cher's clothing line Ay Not Dead is also a second generation reference to Luca. I have friends who saw him play, even know someone who played with him. If you play La Rubia Tarada to a bunch of argentines, you can get a good half of em to sing along almost every time.
I like them a lot. Like most Argentine bands, not terribly original and borrowed a lot from UK/US bands before them. That said, very ifnluential here and even amongst younger generations. Some of their songs are outstanding. Heroina and Callate Mark are two of their songs I still give some pretty heavy rotation to.
