sushi tips anyone

This might be a bit off topic but can anyone recommend a Japanese restaurant that serves ramen? I don't have great expectation for Japanese food in Bs As but as I have the sudden craving for it ..

Great sushi doesn't exist here. With that being said, I'm a fan of Bistro Tokyo in Belgrano (I don't know if they deliver) and Irifune. Both are good although still, relatively limited selection.

I've never found toro here. mmmm..toro. Nor unagi nor yellow tail - pretty much it tends to be salmon, salmon or salmon. Irifune has tuna but it's not toro.

Sushi Pop is the best sushi I've found in BA, it's delivery and it's well priced, they have real honest to goodness tuna, no tuna fish and the rice can't double as dessert.

I just make my own spicy tuna sauce and dip away!

I'm pretty sure the tuna I had in my spicy tuna roll was canned

I'm somewhat appalled, sushi pop is naush. I guess it is a somewhat acceptable option if you are on a tight budget and craving sushi... barely. You can get red tuna elsewhere (Benihana, Yuki, Dashi).

My office ordered it the other day, and my portion had little threads in the rice (no clue how that got in there) and my co-worker had a staple. Yes, a staple.

razal: I've never had a bad roll from them, all the other restaurants have cream cheese on every roll, they're the only one that has many other options.

erocifeller: that's why I don't order the spicy tuna, only the real tuna and add my own spicy tuna sauce, I'm not down with the tuna fish that most of the sushi restaurants here dish out.

nikad: they are cheap, but again, I've never had a bad roll, so that's just even more of a reason to order again.

I wouldn't say that Sushi pop has great sushi (out of those I've tried, Yuki was the best), but for take-out (unless you're lucky enough to live near one of the few consistently good places, it's not bad). I live within reach of most of the Colegiales places. Its not the best barrio for Sushi but I've noticed a MAJOR decline in quality over the past two years from my favourite local takeouts - including up to a 50% decrease in the size of rolls, a major drop in rice quality, dryish fish, only salmon options and bits of bone in my sashimi! Sushi pop is no Yuki, but in the three months or so that we've been ordering it, its average quality is at least consistent, they have far more variety than my local takeouts, they deliver pretty much all over capital and we pay about 40% less than at our previous boney, soggy-riced takeout place.
