So my hard disc went out on my Lenovo laptop with Windows 7.

I took it to an Argentine techie. Nice guy and honest. He installed a new hard disc and reloaded Windows 7. Problem is, it is Windows 7 in Spanish. And so everything I install also goes in Spanish, despite my best efforts to make it in English. So pretty much everything on the computer that was in English is now in Spanish.

I could get by, but would prefer not.

Is there a techie out there who could remedy this? I assume it would involve installation of US Windows 7.

If so, how much would you charge?

Thank you.

You can try to change the display language, it should be easy.
  • Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region / Change the display language
  • Switch the display language in the Choose a display language dropdown menu.
  • Click OK
  • Log off for the changes to take effect (This will affect only the user profile under which you are currently logged on).

Or if that doesn't work, download a language pack for Windows 7, depending on the version installed.
