Hello! We are in Argentina as tourists and wish to settle here permanently and apply for citizenship. We are expecting a baby in July, but need to return to our home country in September for three months in order to complete work obligations. Should we initiate our residency applications before or after the child's birth? Or should we wait until we are able to return to Argentina definitively in December? If the former, do we need to have all of our documents in hand before opening our files on RADEX, or can we start it just with those we have? Thanks!

Are you serious? On what basis would you apply for residency before the child is born?

There are many types of residency, maybe consider enroll as the student?
This over complicate, might need to consult a lawyer at the best.

If you leave the country there is a possibility that the DNM will see that you're not even in Argentina anymore and decline your residency application. Better to leave after you've received the DNI which can take a couple months to receive after you've applied.
