The economy will be dollarized soon... it has to be.

Argentina is indeed a sovereign country. What an incredibly delusional rant. None of that is true. European overlords? Starving EU? "Europoors"? Total nonsense.
Milei's dollarization proposition would mean completely surrendering monetary control to the US government, which is extremely bad for national sovereignty (unlike some folks merely holding Italian passports). Once monetary control is given away, the US government would have free reign over Argentina! It's incredible, you whine about "Euro loyal BA oligarchs" supposedly destroying the country while failing to mention this even more destructive effect of your coveted dollarization. Here, we see your ulterior motive and also Milei's: Argentina would become a colony of the US and completely dependent on it, thereby making the already-existing problems (such as insecurity and poverty) 10 million times worse. What a TERRIBLE idea!!! Dollarization is a scam, just like the trading courses that Milei is promoting on Instagram!
i guess you are OK with surrendering control to China, though?

Argentina isn't a sovereign country though. The liberal BA agro oligarchy maintains firm allegiance to their European overlords.

Having Argentine agro products trade for their free market rate, which is what full dollarization would do, would threaten exports to their #1 agro export destination - the starving EU. Europoors would have to pay more for food & the Euro loyal BA oligarchs won't let that happen.

What percentage of the Argentine population, especially in BA, holds an EU passport? That's a really big problem for sovereignty, just like all those Russian passport holders in the Ukraine were a big problem.

Argentina never really got independence from Europe in the 19th century as most of the Americas did & it's the root of most of it's problems.

Most Argentine oligarchs (Roemmers, Rocca, Bulgeroni, etc) are EU passport holding EU citizens that don't even live in Argentina.

Why are Chaco, Santiago del Estero, Rio Negro, etc some of the most productive regions on earth, yet impovershed hellholes, while similar areas like Matto Grosso & even the Paraguayan Chaco are undergoing a prosperous agro boom with new cars, new roads, new houses etc everywhere?

The short answer is because Brazil & Paraguay aren't vassal/slave states that exist to subsidize starving europoors like Argentina is. Most of the region, if not hemisphere, hates portenos & it's likely once the BA oligarchy loyal to the EU is replaced a union will form, as we've seen recent news. Right now Brazil is issuing a lot of passports to Argentine citizens setting the groundwork for a union, promoting the idea of Argentine/Brazilian fraternity & I wish them luck. This option would probably benefit the average Argentine the most.

Oh wow, one learns something new every day... yet Brazil, which sent 15% of its exports in 2022 to the Europoors is not an EU vassal/ slave state compared to Argentina which sent 12% which is an EU vassal/ slave... interesting.
Also one may be in for another shock to learn how many Brazilians have Italian, Portuguese or other EU passports in comparison to Argentines - each year Brazilians are in the top four nationalities that EU states issue their almost million new citizenships to.

I guess that one only learns about "europoors", "starvation in Europe" and "slavery to the EU" by watching too much RT or listening to Solovyov to get their "alternative news"?

let me phrase this question differently: does anyone thing dollarization is good for expats, in short, medium or long term?

This is borderline delusional, sir (or madam).

Argentina's agricultural sector is not as developed as it could be simply because of laws, regulations and government policies that have disincentivized maximum development for the last 75+ years. Change the labor laws to eliminate mandatory severance pay, lower social security taxes to 20%, eliminate all export taxes and have a unified free floating currency and Argentina's agricultural sector (and all other sectors of the economy ) would boom.

If you referring to a "union" between Argentina and Brazil as meaning that Argentina should eliminate their central bank and adopt the Brazilian Real as their currency then I am all for that. The Real is a free floating currency issued by a responsible central bank and Brazil has widely available financing and credit for housing and automobiles in their own currency.

Agro Argentine regions are police states, the police state exists to enforce government capital controls to keep food prices artificially low & dominate control of supply. The police state forces the locals to live off humiliating government welfare schemes. They'd rather be working the fields for a living. BA oligarchs don't allow them to. Thus is born - the famous Argentine hatred for portenos.

Argentina exports food for way below it's market price. Corn, soy, beef, etc - it exports for 2 or 3 times less than market rate. Yes, it's stupid, but the people setting the prices & enforcement systems have other allegiances & are remnants of old colonial powers.

In Brazil & Paraguay any peasant can go find unclaimed land, work it, sell what it produces to who they want at the price they want. Agriculture there is decentralized, wide open & no capital controls exist. They're booming, while Argentina is a depression.

A union with Brazil probably wouldn't be so much about what particular currency facilitates trade & more about opening Argentina's borders with Brazil (like they are with Paraguay) so that trade actually takes place. The internal enemies of the BA oligarchs (the Peronists) & Brazilian agro regions are setting the conditions for this to happen. Personally, I wish them success but the BA oligarchs are still strong & may stop this.

Here's the difference between China and the US: China builds infrastructure, the US destroys infrastructure. It's as simple as that. China trades, the US bullies - as we have seen recently with a US congresswoman's whining and threats about China's space base in Neuquen, which happens to be a great thing for technological advancements. Your life is almost over (like the rest of the boomers on this board), so get over it, it won't affect you anyway. Pax Americana is over and dead, Pax Sinica is the new future. Pax Sinica will benefit Argentina greatly, there are already so many new, great trading opportunities with China! China loves Argentine agricultural products.

Have you ever spoken to people in countries like Myanmar or Laos? No one there actually believes that Chinese investors built infrastructure there simply out of the kindness of their hearts.
